La procédure du cardiac catheterisation en est une qui est très longue. Premièrement, les médecins vont sonder Manon lundi, en préparation pour le "vrai test" mardi. Nous visiterons le cardiologue pendant la matinée et il expliquera le déroulement de la journée à venir.

Mardi, nous serons à la IWK pour 7h00 et on nous a prévenu qu'il pourrait être 19h00 avant que nous sortions ! Il faudra laisser Manon se reposer plusieurs heures avant qu'elle est permise de s'en aller. La procédure même consiste de faufiler un mince tube qui ira des vaisseaux sanguins de sa jambe jusqu'à son coeur. Le dye sera ensuite injecté et les médecins pourront suivre son trajet.

Si les résultats montrent que l'artère pulmonaire de Manon est devenue étroite, il est probablement temps de faire des démarches pour la prochaine opération. Si l'artère permet encore à un montant suffisant de sang de voyager, l'opération pourrait avoir lieu après Noël.

On verra ce que ça donne.

If resultats show that Manon's pulmonary artery has become too narrow, it will mean that another operation is getting close. If the artery still allows acceptable blood flow, the operation could be put on hold until the new year.
